Joe Ferrera
Percussion​
Joe has been a member of the Matt's Music Staff for 15 years. Joe studied under John Rowland, the principal drummer for the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and George D'Anna, the principal tympanist for the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra.
Abdul-Rahman Qadir
Percussion
With a career spanning forty-plus years, Abdul has had the honor and privilege of working with national and a majority of area musicians in a variety of venues. Musical luminaries he’s worked with include: Dizzy Gillepsie, Freddie Cole, Regina Carter, Dakota Staton, Dodo Greene, the legendary Al Tinney and many others. He has taught and performed in the Buffalo Public Schools and the Catholic Diocese as well as the Arts in Education Institute of WNY as a teaching artist. Abdul also had honor of appearing in the movie Marshall as a member of the band. Known for his distinctive swing style of jazz drumming, he has also performed in musical theatre, opera productions, and with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. His belief is that music has no boundaries.
Andrew Daniels
Percussion
Around the age of 12 Andrew began to play drums at church where he was the third string drummer. After establishing himself on the local music scene he sought formal instruction. From a highly recommended referral Andew started studying with Joe Ferrera at Matt’s Music. Daniels has been studying with Mr. Ferrera for over 12 years. Daniels regular projects include, Tripi, Shaky Stage, Samuel Tambe Band and Dellwood And The Nightshades.
